President Uhuru Kenyatta amazed many Kenyans as he attended his Former School St. Mary’s Nairobi wearing the school’s Blazer and a school tie. For a president to come to such levels now and then is always rare and it makes the people even love them more.
State House Kenya posted the following in their official Twitter page.
“The Head of State, who wore a navy blue blazer bearing the St Mary’s School badge in remembrance of his school attire, challenged the current students at the school to work hard, be honest, dutiful, respectful and God-fearing in order to succeed in life.”
“The President identified school infrastructure, equipping of libraries and provision of sports kits as some of the projects that can be taken up by alumni associations.”
Among the guests was Citizen Tv, prominent Journalist Jeff Koinange. They converged to their former school as a way of giving back to the society.
“President Kenyatta has urged Kenyans, especially those in positions of influence, to support their former schools as a way of giving back to society. He spoke at his former school, St Mary’s, Nairobi when he presided over celebrations to mark the institution’s 80th anniversary.”
